Reid Ayers has served as the Technical Director for the NEO Select Program since the spring of 2008. Ayers hopes to build on the strong tradition established at NEO and two of the club’s teams advanced to the 2008 OYSAN State Cup Final Four and the U14 team has been selected to participate in the prestigious Midwest Regional League. Ayers who also serves as the Head Men’s and Women’s soccer coach at Baldwin-Wallace College is quickly closing in on 200 college victories and is the winningest men's soccer coach in the history of BWC.
“Our long-term goals are to win State Cups and to continue to excel in the OYSAN State League and the MRL,” said Ayers. “However, the primary focus at NEO centers on player and team development with an emphasis on how the teams play not just a win at all cost philosophy. I feel if we do our job as coaches, the results should follow allowing the players to have a rewarding and fun soccer experience.”
Ayers holds his National “A” and National Youth Licenses from the United States Soccer Federation. He is a member of the Region II Olympic Development Staff, where he assesses and trains the elite players from 13 different states. Ayers has served as a regional age group head coach for the past three years and had the distinction of being named to the U.S. Soccer U14 National Identification Camp Staff in 2008. In addition, he works as a scout for the United States Development Academy where he helps select players for inclusion into the country's youth national teams. Also, he is a member of the Ohio Youth Soccer Association North State Coaching Staff, where he is an age group coach in the Olympic Development Program and a state coaching license instructor. His ODP teams have won one regional championship in addition to finishing runner-up three times over the past eight years
“We want each NEO player to develop to the best of their ability, emphasizing more than just soccer but including academics and character-building” said Ayers.
A prominent figure in the Ohio club soccer scene for over 15 years, Ayers has led teams to championships in the Adidas Warrior Classic, Jarosi Memorial, Mid-American Soccer Classic, Crossroads Classic and Adidas Charlotte Showcase. He also had a third place finish in the USA Cup and made quarterfinal international appearances in the Gothia Cup, Dana Cup and the Manchester Soccer Festival.
In 2002, Ayers completed his Masters of Arts degree from Kent State University in Sport and Recreation Management. A 1988 graduate of Hiram College, he was team captain his junior and senior seasons and earned Most Valuable Player honors as a senior. A three-time All-Presidents Conference performer, Ayers is amongst the Hiram College all-time leaders in career and season assists. He holds the distinction of starting every game in his college career.

Louie Rolko will be serving his first year as the NEO Select Boy’s Director of Coaching. As a staff coach, Rolko led the NEO Select u13 boys team to the semi-finals of the OYSAN State Cup in 2009 and has worked with the NEO program for over 5 years. Rolko also serves as an assistant coach at Baldwin-Wallace College where as a player there he was a three-time Regional All-American and was twice named the Ohio Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year. After college he played in the USL First Division for the Charleston (S.C.) Battery. Last season, Rolko joined the OYSAN ODP coaching staff and earned his first regional appointment with the Region II ODP staff.

Nate Smith is in his second season as a staff coach at NEO. Nate will be graduating from Baldwin-Wallace College this spring where the four year letter winner was a two-year captain and as a senior he was named as a Regional All-American.

Jessica Poiner will be serving her first year as the NEO Select Girl’s Director of Coaching. Poiner, who also serves as an assistant women’s coach at Baldwin-Wallace College, earned her USSF National “D” license in 2009. A stand-out player at Stow High School, she earned a varsity letter at BW and was named team Rookie of the Year before a reoccurring knee injury cut short her playing career. Poiner earned the distinction of having the highest grade point average of any athlete at Baldwin-Wallace College.
