Frequently Asked Questions

Question -  Is NEO Soccer a “premier” program?

Answer –  Yes.  In Northeast Ohio, it is relatively easy to designate yourself as a “premier” program.  You just have to play in one of the “premier” leagues.  We do, as we participate in the OYSAN State League.  We chose not to highlight this in our name, as we feel it is more important how you play, than what you say – or what you pay!!

Question -  We heard N.E.O only trains younger groups, and then they must move on to get further training.  Is that true?

Answer – False!!  In our early years, our concentration was on the younger, underserved market.  We believe no matter what the measure, we did this as well as anyone in Northeast Ohio.  As those groups are getting older now – we have added full time coaches (Joe, Oliver, Jen) and training opportunities to support them through their high school years.  As you can see in recent accomplishments, here we come!!!!

Question – Can you compare N.E.O. with other clubs?

Answer – There are different ways to get results, and we have great respect for many of the established clubs in the area.  While we understand the different models of doing things, we started with a clean slate, and are “progressive” in our training and development.  It is hard to summarize all clubs, or lump them together.  On average, we feel we are more progressive – with “open gym” environments (see coaches corner discussion), supporting 3v3, supporting futsal,   being “inclusive”, and utilizing speed and agility programs and equipment.  We also utilize our entire coaching staff’s experiences for development.  We do not believe in a 1 coach, 1 team approach – and feel that is an outdated model for development.

Question – What type of uniforms does the club wear?

Answer – We recently changed the club over to the Under-Armour brand of uniforms with a bold new lettering design in front.  As of now, we believe we are the only club with this brand.  It is a brand that is loved by the kids, and has the “attitude” that is N.E.O. Soccer.  We have both white and red tops, with black shorts and socks.  We always carry through the white, red and black in our uniforms and apparel.
